EHC Associates began as a department of an architectural firm in 1984 to meet the environmental needs of the firm's architectural renovation projects. The asbestos department grew to meet the demand for competent asbestos consulting services, and in 1987, this department became a separate, incorporated company, Environmental Hazards Consulting, Inc. Mr. William C. Gallagher, founder of EHC Associates, had over 20 years of experience as a registered architect and 24 years of experience in environmental consulting. As the the company began tackling a wider range of environmental issues (lead-paint, mold, asbestos, phase 1 & 2 audits, indoor air quality, and more), the company name was changed to better reflect this full scope of services, thus EHC Associates.?

In response to the requests of its clients, EHC Associates continues to expand its services while controlling its rate of growth to concentrate efforts on providing superior professional services to its long-term clients. Today, EHC Associates, with a corporate headquarters in historic Lancaster, Pennsylvania, provides professional services to both the public and private sector throughout the mid-atlantic.

As an environmental consulting & contracting firm, EHC Associates has specialized its services regarding the built environment. Our environmental services therefore, are primarily oriented to toxic or hazardous building materials and site contamination from prior or current facility operations.
